Telephone Wire Earrings
Zulu weavers in South Africa have a long tradition of making beautiful and useful baskets of natural fibers. With the introduction of modern materials such as telephone wire, these artisans enjoy combining traditional methods with brightly colored wire to construct utilitarian objects, as well as personal accessories. Each design reflects the unique weaving of the artisan—no two pairs of earrings are exactly alike.
