“Equal temperament” is defined as dividing the octave equally into twelve notes, which has become the standard method of tuning instruments. The author argues that creativity and further musical exploration have been seriously hindered due to this limited approach. He challenges readers and contemporary musicians to think outside the box and utilize tuning differently to achieve a richer, more diverse sound.
