These adorable frog- and turtle-shaped instruments are played by scraping the big end of the wooden stick along the ridges of their backs to produce the sounds of frog calls. The stick can also be used to tap their backs to make more percussive sounds.
The frog scrapers are made in Bali of Jempinis wood—a tree that grows quickly up to 30 feet, helping make it a renewable resource. Each one measures approximately 3.75 x 3.75 inches.
The turtle scrapers are made in Thailand at an eco-friendly, fair-trade workshop. Each one measures approximately 5.5 x 2.5 inches.
