Highwayman LP

Frequently referred to as "the Mount Rushmore of country music," the Highwaymen—Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson—were American country music's first supergroup, an epic quartet comprised of the outlaw country genre's pioneering stars. The Highwaymen were active from 1985 to 1995 and recorded three major label albums. Their song “Highwayman” won a Grammy Award for Best Country Song in 1986.

MIM’s celebration of country music includes exhibits in both the United States / Canada Gallery and Artist Gallery. Displayed in the Carter Family and Johnny Cash exhibit is Cash’s “Man in Black” stage suit and Martin D-42JC Johnny Cash Signature Model guitar. Videos of Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson are included in the comprehensive Country exhibit in the United States / Canada Gallery.
