A Jewish Celebration

Through exodus and migration, Jewish people have moved around the world for thousands of years, taking with them their common threads of religious holidays and other celebrations. Music is at the core of both festivities and solemn observances. All over the globe, Jewish musicians draw from local musical styles to convey tradition as well as new, creative expressions.

This CD provides music from prominent artists of the Jewish diaspora ranging from Israel to Uganda, raising voices and instruments in celebration. Jewish celebratory music figures prominently in MIM’s galleries from Israel, through Europe, to American Klezmer.
