Street Vendor’s Pan Flute

In many parts of the world, street vendors use distinct instruments and vocal calls to create unique sounds to announce their services as they pass through neighborhoods. This pan flute is made and used by traveling merchants in Galicia, a province in northwestern Spain. It is made of sycamore wood and consists of 10 pipes with a carved horsehead to serve as handle and ornament.
