The Hokema Sansula Basic is a beautiful-sounding kalimba. Its frame-drum design produces a rich and deep “wah-wah” resonance for a unique and pleasing sound. The Sansula Basic features superfine German-engineered kalimba tines and metal pieces. It is outfitted with a robust synthetic Remo drumskin and a beechwood frame for optimal tones. Resistant to moisture, this instrument retains tension under various conditions of humidity, making it the perfect travel companion.

The Sansula Basic is best suited to adults due to the delicate membrane. It is played by plucking the metal tines with the thumbs to create melodies in various rhythms. This kalimba is tuned to A-minor, with additional tines tuned to B and F.
