Music lovers will be astonished at the influence The Wrecking Crew wielded over rock and pop music in the early 1960’s and early 1970’s. These unsung instrumentalists were the de-facto backing band on hit records by The Beach Boys, Phil Spector, Frank Sinatra, Sonny and Cher, Elvis, and many more. A dedicated group of musicians that included Tommy Tedesco and Al Casey on guitar; Hal Blaine and Earl Palmer on drums; Carol Kaye and Joe Osborn on bass; Plas Johnson on saxophone; and Don Randi on keyboard. Their flair and musicianship made the American “West Coast Sound” a dominant cultural force around the world.
The discs include six hours of bonus content featuring deleted scenes of songs, themes, musicians, artists, engineers, and producers/arrangers.
