This handsome chime was crafted in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, and features the delicate indigenous Sanukite stone discovered in 1891 by German geologist, Ernst Weinschenk. The sound of the Sanukite stone chime is very beautiful and relaxing. It first captured the hearts of people around the world during the opening ceremony of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics when it was used in a koto (the national instrument of Japan).
