Congo Masks and Music Map

Take home your own copy of this map featured in MIM’s special exhibition Congo Masks and Music: Masterpieces from Central Africa. The map highlights approximately 100 ethnic groups in Central Africa. Illustrations depict representative masks and musical instruments used in important rites and celebrations. The map is organized according to stylistic zones of masks with common features such as materials, colors, and cultural uses. It is not intended to set actual legal or political boundaries.
