The beads of this bracelet are made with kantha cloth and are wired with a flexible, adjustable metal and then framed with dazzling gold-colored metallic beads. Each bracelet features various colors and patterns for a one-of-a-kind work of art.
Kantha is traditionally used to make quilts from layers of worn cotton saris in India. Artisans recycle the resulting kantha cloth by wrapping the fabric around wooden beads to create a colorful assortment of uniquely patterned jewelry. This fairly traded bracelet was handmade by women artisans in India using sustainable materials.
