The banjo originated in Africa where musicians played instruments made of gourd drums, with strings attached to a wooden neck and stretched over the drumhead. Musicians strummed the instrument to play a tune. It rapidly reached popularity in the United States so that by the early 1800s it was heard from back porch to concert hall. Our miniature banjo magnet evokes the best of bluegrass, folk, and country music.
Each magnet measures 4 x 1.25 inches and will adhere to steel-based surfaces.
